Student Organization Sample Constitution
Use the following Sample Constitution to help you with your constitution creation or revision. The purpose of a Constitution is to provide a framework for organization leaders and members.All student organizations are required to have a current constitution on file with ASBSU Judiciary. Once a constitution is created or revised it should be submitted to the Student Activities Office, where a Student Activities staff member will review it for accuracy.
If there are recommendations or corrections needed, the organization will be asked to review the constitution. Once the constitution has included the required components, it will be resubmitted to Student Activities who, if there are no further changes needed, will pass it on to ASBSU Judiciary for further revision or approval.

The non-bold wording accompanying a required (bold print) heading is merely an aid to the framers in constructing a functional constitution. Such non-bold wording is not required to be copied verbatim.

Be sure to check the document carefully for spelling, grammatical, and typographical errors before submitting it for review by the Activities Staff. Constitutions may be returned for revision if spelling, grammatical or typographical errors are found.
Submission: You must turn in:
- 2 paper copies of this constitution to Student Organization Office
- An electronic version of this constitution (on disk or e-mailed to evangelinebeaver@boisestate.edu)
- A complete officer card
- A national or regional constitution (if your club is affiliated with one)
